Sweeping Lengths

Top: Yuki concession at Topshop, Maxi Skirt: H&M, Sunglasses: Mango (old), Cuff: Forever 21

Hi everyone, hope you all enjoyed your weekends. I spent mine at The Electric Daisy Carnival which was amazing! Photos might follow shortly... but today in a last ditch attempt to make the most of the rapidly receeding sunshine I'm showcasing my mint pleated maxi skirt I got from H&M a couple of weeks ago. The tee I got from the Yuki concession in the Topshop sale. I saw the colourful paradise print and just had to own it! The gold cuff I picked up from Forever 21 while looking for a floral headband (this also might make an appearance if I post my EDC photos!)

I'm off to the beach tomorrow so watch this space... even though this heatwave is coming to an end I'm not ready to give up on summer yet!! xx

park life

Slip dress worn as top: Topshop (old), Maxi Skirt: Mango, Sunglasses: Mango (old)
bag: Coach, Earrings handmade from Greece

Another sunny lunchtime spent in the park soaking up the sun. This time wearing my favourite earrings and...the first maxi skirt I've ever owned! Yes they've been around forever but cause I'm tall I can never find any that are long enough, usually they barely reach my ankles. That is until I discovered this floor length peach coloured beauty in the sale at Mango last week. I need a little practise walking in it though as I'm not used to full length skirts. Take this morning for example, I trod on the hem and tripped over at the train station in front of a platform of commuters! ... eek! Not something I want to repeat anytime soon! xx

shorts weather

Vest: Topshop (old), Shorts: Zara, Earrings: Accessorize (old)

Anyone who knows me knows I adore hot weather so over the last week I've been in my element. Not only does this heat-wave mean lunch in the park is back on (hooray!), but it means I finally get to wear my bermuda style shorts from Zara. Yay! The fabric is really light and the paisley print and sherbet colours are right up my street. I think they would work well with heels but today I've teamed them with my trusty gladiator sandals from Faith (anyone remember that shop?!). I got them four summers ago and they are still going strong...fingers crossed! xx

heatwave happy

Top: H&M (also tempted by this), Skirt: Zara (old), Heels: Zara (old), Belt: Accessorize

I meant to make a 'quick dash' to the Mango on Regent Street yesterday, only the route I chose took me straight through Oxford Street and it's gauntlet of shops. But, I did power-walk... only straight in to H&M followed by Topshop! This amazing peplum top from H&M was one of the gorgeous finds that ambushed me that day. I really love the textured fabric and the petal style peplum hem. And hey, even if I did stray from my mission I did make it to Mango eventually just with a few extra shopping bags! I'm not sure why this feels like an achievement but I'm not going to question it... Hope you're all enjoying the mini heat wave! xx

Summer Stripes

Skirt: French Connection (old), Top: Zara (old), Flip flops: Havaianas (old) Similar here,
Belt: Accessorize (old)

Literally blinded by the sunshine as you can clearly see in this post! This is one of my favourite summer outfits as I love colour blocking. But the real reason I dragged Vanessa out the office to take photos for my blog was to photograph my beloved Havaianas! If I had my way I'd wear them all year round even in winter if I could. They're ultra comfy and if it does rain (which it usually does), your feet dry super quick! Bonus! Much better than moping around in damp ballet pumps at any rate... xx

Kimono dress

Kimono Dress: Topshop (old), Shoes: Dorothy Perkins (old), Earrings: Accessorize (old),
Hair: Ombre Virgin Brazillian Wavy styled by Sandra Webb salon, Clapham

Hi everyone! In truth, I've been a bit of a style free zone the last couple of weeks living in some pretty un-blog-worthy attire...  normal service will resume as soon as possible, but in the meantime, here is what I wore to my work party held at the V&A last month. I bought this kimono inspired dress on a Personal Shopping experience at Topshop a few years back and except for a night at the Opera it's been living in a suit storage bag in my wardrobe just waiting for another occasion as fancy as it! It's pure silk... it's got birds on it and... it goes with my earrings... Result! xx
